Deze stap is het resultaat van samenwerking binnen Circular Plastics Alliance, dat werkt aan innovatieve en duurzame oplossingen om de hoeveelheid plastic afval te verminderen en recycling te bevorderen. Nexans heeft in samenwerking met CPA-partner KIVO onderzoek gedaan naar de krimpfolies die het bedrijf gebruikt. Met behulp van een speciale CO2 footprint tool, ontwikkeld door KIVO in samenwerking met CE Delft, zijn de folies geanalyseerd en vergeleken met duurzame alternatieven. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Vertaling\" aria-label=\"Vertaalde tekst\" data-ved=\"2ahUKEwiqpPKiyJSFAxWMh_0HHQg2CI0Q3ewLegQIBRAU\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">Deze analyse heeft aangetoond dat het overschakelen van het gebruik van 100% nieuw plastic naar een mix van 70% nieuw plastic en 30% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) gerecycled plastic aanzienlijk bijdraagt aan het verminderen van de CO2-uitstoot. Volgens de resultaten van de Cradle-to-Consumer-benadering zou deze verschuiving ongeveer 0,4 kg CO2-equivalent per kg folie besparen.
