Dat heeft de inspecteur laten weten aan belangenorganisatie Verpact, voorheen Afvalfonds Verpakkingen. Volgens de ILT is de inzameling nog ver onder de maat en zijn maatregelen noodzakelijk.<\/p>\n<h2>Te weinig verbetering<\/h2>\n<p>De ILT wil door de toename bereiken dat consumenten meer plastic statiegeldflessen inleveren, met een wettelijk doel van 90 procent inlevering. Hoewel deze doelstelling al sinds 2022 van kracht is, bleef het aantal ingeleverde flessen volgens Verpact vorig jaar onder de maat, geschat op ongeveer 70%. Dit is volgens de ILT onvoldoende. Hoewel het percentage ingeleverde kleine flessen aanzienlijk steeg, met tien procentpunten, bleef de stijging bij grote statiegeldflessen minimaal, met slechts 1,1 procentpunten.<\/p>\n<h2>Alleen een verhoging op flessen<\/h2>\n<p>Op dit moment zit er op grote flessen \u20ac0,25 statiegeld en op kleine flessen \u20ac0,15 statiegeld. Deze bedragen zouden verdubbelen met de maatregel van de ILT, of in het geval van kleinere flessen zelfs verdrievoudigen, om het inzamelen verder te stimuleren. Blikjes worden momenteel niet in overweging genomen. Daarnaast stelt de ILT meer maatregelen voor aan Verpact om het inzamelen van plastic flessen te stimuleren:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Statiegeldlabels wijzigen<\/li>\n<li>Meer inzamelpunten installeren<\/li>\n<li>Statiegeld op sap- en zuivelflessen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Als de inzameling van plastic flessen niet snel wordt verbeterd, kunnen bedrijven boetes tegemoet zien die kunnen oplopen tot \u20ac250 miljoen. Verpact heeft tot vrijdag de tijd om te reageren en met alternatieven te komen voordat de ILT een definitief besluit neemt.<\/p>\n<p>Circular Plastics Alliance volgt de ontwikkelingen op de voet.
