Moederdag staat weer voor de deur en dat betekent een drukke periode in de tuinbouwsector. Bloemen zijn al eeuwenlang een symbolisch cadeau voor Moederdag en hun populariteit is nog steeds onverminderd groot.<\/p>\n

Niet alleen in Nederland en Belgi\u00eb valt deze dag op de tweede zondag in mei, maar ook andere Europese landen vieren het op deze dag. Voor Alliance-leden die werkzaam zijn in de tuinbouw, zoals ons CPA-lid Fresco bloemen<\/a>Het markeert het begin van een drukke periode.<\/p>\n

Stijgende vraag naar bloemen<\/h2>\n

Deze drukke periode is al begonnen. In april zijn er 6% meer klokkarren en 9% meer directe stapelwagens afgeleverd ten opzichte van maart. Met het trouwseizoen in aantocht verwacht Royal FloraHolland een stijgende vraag naar bloemen in de maanden mei en juni. Dit betekent dat veel bloemenfolie en plantenstokken weer in gebruik zullen worden genomen. Niet alle folie en plantstokken zijn duurzaam geproduceerd.<\/p>\n

Ronde plantenstaken<\/h2>\n

Momenteel gebruikt de grafische industrie nog veel PVC (polyvinylchloride) in de productie, waarbij veel chloor wordt gebruikt, waardoor het schadelijk is voor het milieu. Met Circular Plastics kunnen we deze grondstoffen nu vervangen door rPP door 90% gerecycled materiaal te gebruiken. Hiermee lopen we voor op de Europese wetgeving, die tegen 2025 30% hergebruik van gerecycled materiaal eist.<\/p>\n

Door PP te gebruiken voor de plantenstokken in plaats van polyvinylchloride (PVC), zorgen we voor een monostroom. De plantstokken kunnen direct worden gerecycled met de plantenpotten omdat ze ook van PP zijn gemaakt.<\/p>\n

De kwaliteit van de producten is het resultaat van een perfecte synergie tussen verschillende Circular Plastics Alliance-leden, met samenwerking tussen grondstoffenleverancier Kras Recycling BV, geavanceerde 'State of the Art' co-ex technologie, en de waardevolle expertise van de technische medewerkers van Kivo Plastic Packaging en Kivo Plastic Packaging. Gerecyclede bloemenfolie<\/h2>\n

Gerecyclede bloemenfolie is ook een stap in de goede richting voor de tuinbouwsector. Deze folie is 100% gerecycled uit bloemenfolie dat is ingezameld op bloemenveilingen en in supermarkten. Met energiezuinige verwerking op snelle wikkel- en sluitmachines is deze gerecyclede bloemenfolie een stap in de richting van een circulaire toekomst.<\/p>\n
