Yesterday, Carbon Network had a visit scheduled at Royal FloraHolland. The day started early at 05:00 with a guided tour of the flower auction to gain a better understanding of the activities within the flower trade and the associated packaging streams.
The program then continued with a visit to Kras Recycling B.V., where Henk Kras explained more about the sorting and processing of packaging materials and cardboard.
The day concluded with a tour at Fresco Flowers B.V., led by Jaap Buis. He provided insight into how the flowers arrive, are prepared and ultimately packaged using the partially recycled film supplied for the flower auction.
