KRAS is an internationally operating company with its headquarters in Volendam. It all began in 1951 with an old cargo bike used to collect rags and scrap metal. Since then, the company has grown into a group of businesses with locations in the Netherlands, Belgium, Kosovo, and Hong Kong. KRAS primarily serves as a full-service partner for companies in collecting, sorting, processing, and selling waste streams such as paper, cardboard, films, and plastics.

The waste collected by KRAS is prepared for reuse or processed into raw materials for new products. KRAS carries out these processes in-house or works with trusted partners. All processes are fully transparent and traceable for all stakeholders.

Thanks to extensive market knowledge and a wide-reaching network built over the past 65 years, KRAS is also active in the trade of raw materials and semi-finished products. It trades with and supplies certified end users around the world.

KRAS is a family-owned business. Internally, a balanced generational transition ensures continuity in both knowledge and quality. The core values of the family company have been carefully preserved.
